I make my own dog food for 5 Shih Tzu's!

It's so easy to make your own dog food, it's cheaper than the premium dry or canned & the results are phenomenal! First, research your breed's traditional diet. For Shih Tzu's it's fish and seaweed, their traditional Chinese diet for generations. I did my research on the yahoo group, k9nutrition. Dogs need raw foods to complete their nutrition. Raw fruits & veggies need to be puréd for optimal absorption. Raw muscle & organ meat must also be included (avoid pork). I make a huge container once a month & freeze in 1/4 cups. Ingredients: 10 lbs raw beef, cheese, can salmon, eggs; 1 lb organ meat like gizzard or liver; 5 lbs fruit/veggie like banana, sweet potato, apple, can pumpkin, greens & put through juicer & include pulp; 1 lb plain yogurt; 1 lb raw oats; supplements inlcude flaxseed oil, goatmilk powder, coconut oil, oregano, alfalfa, vitamin C, bluegreen algae, sea kelp, biotin, garlic. Avoid corn, soy, wheat (they're allergens). Avoid carbs, meat by-products and anything gluten -- undigestable!
